tutor examining work

 has been running

needlework classes for several years. They are taught by Hilda Sheppard who is Royal School of Needlework trained and also works at the shop full time. They are held every Wednesday morning (10.30am-12.30pm) in the conservatory which has a wonderful natural light.

As space is limited we have a maximum of three people in the class. This ensures that you get individual attention. The class will be tailored to suit the requirements of the pupils whether they are beginners who need to learn the basic tent stitch in basketweave technique or advanced sewers who want to improve their shading.

We are very happy for you to bring in a piece that you are working on if you are having problems with it,  or to come to the shop a bit early to pick out a new project. Our staff can advise you on what would be appropriate for your standard, to challenge you and ensure you learn something without being too overwhelmed!

The classes need to be booked in advance, so if you have a specific date you would like to attend we recommend booking in good time to avoid disappointment. A 50% booking fee is taken to guarantee your place.

We need 24 hours notice if you cannot attend in order for you not to lose your deposit. Private classes can also be specially arranged, as can other days if Wednesdays do not suit you.

Please telephone or e-mail us to find a mutually convenient day. We look forward to training you soon in the finer aspects of needlework!
